Training Update

General Information: This update is offered to all New York State Department of Health, Authorized Training Agencies by REACH CNY (formerly Family Ties Network). Attendance is important in order to maintain your agency's authorization status.  Agencies who received authorization to deliver Overview of HIV Infection and AIDS, Offering HIV Testing in CBOs Serving High Risk Communities and Community HIV/AIDS Educator training should attend. All members of your training team are encouraged to attend. 

This session will feature updates on several topics that can be utilized while delivering Overview of HIV Infection and AIDS, Offering HIV Testing in CBOs Serving High Risk Communities and Community HIV/AIDS Educator training.
 

Content for the update includes:  

•  NYS Court-Ordered HIV Testing of Defendants

•  “Health Alert: Steps to Further Reduce Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission in NYS”

•  Opioid Overdose

•  New York State Condom Access Program (NYSCAP)

•  Review of revised Form C

•  Access to the Health Provider Network (HPN) for Authorized Training Agencies

•  Additional training opportunities for ATA trainers

Annual Quality Assurance Tool for training provided in 2007.*

• Space is limited, so register early
• A confirmation letter will be sent in about 2 weeks before the training.  
  The confirmation letter will include the date, time, location and directions
  to the training.
• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the training.
• Letters of attendance will be given to participants who complete
  the entire training.
